Bitcoin ETF inflows slow to $191 million during a six-day streak that has reached $2.8 billion.
US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded about $191 million in net inflows on Thursday, extending a six-session buying streak that lifted total inflows past $2.8 billion. The result shows that demand for listed Bitcoin funds remained elevated even as daily flow sizes cooled after an early-week peak. Spot ETFs give investors exposure to Bitcoin through fund shares rather than direct token ownership, which makes daily net inflows a visible way to track whether new money is entering the market.
Thursday’s Flows Extended a Six-Session Streak
According to SoSoValue, the latest net inflow figure was roughly $191 million, bringing the six-session total above $2.8 billion. The streak followed a Monday that set a 2026 high for daily inflows at $999 million. After that high, daily inflows fell for three consecutive sessions. By Thursday, the daily total had fallen 81% from that Monday level. The decline came as Bitcoin retreated from above $87,000, suggesting that short-term ETF demand eased as the price pulled back.
The pattern also shows that a strong streak does not require every session to be large. Thursday’s $191 million was far below Monday’s peak, but it was enough to keep the six-session total above $2.8 billion. The latest inflow streak lifted the funds’ year-to-date total to roughly $787 million, reversing a 2026 deficit of about $5.5 billion at the end of June. September has attracted $2.56 billion so far, following $3.52 billion in August. The August and September totals were large enough to erase the deficit recorded at the end of June and turn the year-to-date figure positive.
BlackRock’s IBIT Absorbed Most of the New Demand
BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), the largest US spot Bitcoin ETF by assets, accounted for about $163 million of Thursday’s inflows, according to Farside Investors. Over the six-session streak, IBIT attracted roughly $1.35 billion, nearly half of the combined inflows across US spot Bitcoin ETFs. The concentration shows that a single large fund continued to carry much of the market’s recent demand, while other funds contributed a smaller share.
For readers watching fund-level flows, IBIT remains the clearest barometer of how much new money is entering listed Bitcoin exposure. A continued large share in IBIT can keep the total streak strong, while a slowdown in that fund would be more visible because it carries so much of the flow.
Bitcoin Price and Macro Signals Framed the Flow Pattern
At publication, Bitcoin traded at $83,807, down 0.3% over the past 24 hours but still up about 8% over the past seven days, according to CoinGecko. A related report said Bitcoin fell below $84,000 as the 10-year Treasury yield hit a 19-year high. The combination of softer daily ETF inflows, a price move away from above $87,000, and higher Treasury yields left the market in a consolidation phase rather than a fresh acceleration.
The price move and flow move were not identical. Bitcoin remained up about 8% over the past seven days even as daily ETF inflows fell 81% from Monday’s peak. That difference matters because ETF demand can lag or lead short-term price swings, and a single day’s flow may reflect positioning rather than a full change in sentiment.
What the Flow Pattern Means for Readers
The data means that listed Bitcoin funds have not stopped attracting money, but the pace is uneven. The six-session total above $2.8 billion and the year-to-date recovery from a $5.5 billion deficit show persistent fund-level demand. At the same time, the 81% drop from Monday’s $999 million high and IBIT’s outsized share show that current demand is concentrated and can slow quickly.
The next point to watch is whether future sessions keep the streak above $2.8 billion, whether inflows broaden beyond IBIT, and whether Bitcoin’s price can stay above the recent $84,000 level while broader market conditions shift. No single session can confirm a trend, but the recent sequence gives a clearer baseline: demand is still present, it is uneven, and it is concentrated in the largest fund.
