Bitmine raises $75 million to buy Ethereum , Tom Lee says institutional allocation of cryptocurrency is still low

Ethereum Treasury company Bitmine again adds about 276 thousand units ETH Total holdings close to 5% supply target

At Monday's price of $2,727, the purchase is valued at approximately $75.2 million. After completion, Bitmine's total inventory rose to 5,983,940 units of ETH , accounting for about 122.1 million units of the Ethereum in circulation and 4.9% of its goal of holding 5% supply.

In recent weeks, the company's buying pace has remained basically stable. If maintained at this rate, Bitmine is expected to complete its established Bitcoin target in the next month or two. According to the company, since switching to a crypto vault strategy in June 2025, it will make Ethereum purchases per week without interruption.

Tom Lee also expressed optimism about the market. He believes that institutional investors preferred stocks associated with artificial intelligence earlier this year, and there is a possibility of catching up on the layout by the end of the year as they may have to make some adjustments in the crypto asset configuration next.
