US Spot Bitcoin ETFs Add $347 Million as Bitcoin Slips Below $84,000

Bitcoin ETFs record $347,000,000 in inflows as BTC falls below $84,000 after topping $87,000

US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded about $347 million in net inflows on Wednesday, extending a five-session run of positive demand even as Bitcoin fell below $84,000 after briefly trading above $87,000. CoinGecko data showed Bitcoin at $83,743 at the time of publication, down 2.7% over 24 hours but up 9.5% over seven days.

September inflows offset earlier outflows

The funds drew about $2.65 billion over the five sessions through Wednesday, according to SoSoValue data. Wednesday's tally was lower than Tuesday's $714.75 million and Monday's 2026 high of $998.95 million.

September has brought $2.37 billion in inflows so far, offsetting earlier outflows and lifting year-to-date inflows to about $596 million. That turns the latest streak into more than a brief rebound: it helped push the year's net flow back into positive territory.

BlackRock and Fidelity led Wednesday's buying

BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), the largest US spot Bitcoin ETF by assets, led Wednesday with $166 million in inflows, followed by Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) with $143 million, according to Farside Investors data.

Ether and XRP ETFs continue their streak

US spot Ether ETFs drew around $105 million on Wednesday, marking their fourth consecutive day of net inflows and lifting cumulative inflows to $13.8 billion. Spot XRP ETFs added $18 million, bringing cumulative inflows to about $1.8 billion.

The price move also carried a related risk signal: a related report said Bitcoin long liquidations hit $280 million as BTC price dipped under $84,000.

Whether the streak holds as daily inflows cool

The next test is whether ETF demand can keep up with the market's swings. The five-session Bitcoin ETF streak, September's $2.37 billion inflow total, and the four-day Ether ETF inflow run show persistent buying through price volatility. But daily totals have already fallen from Monday's 2026 high, and Bitcoin's 24-hour decline shows the flow and price trends can move apart.
