Legendary investor Bill Miller IV says he's never been more optimistic about Bitcoin
Core Viewpoint: Prices are unchanged, but fundamentals deteriorate
According to Bitcoin Magazine, the chairman and CEO of Miller Value Partners, well-known investor Bill Miller IV recently said in an interview that his opinion about bitcoin has never been higher.
He points out that the current market value of bitcoin has remained roughly around its peak in the previous cycle, but at the same time global financial conditions have significantly deteriorated. In his view, this means that the gap between Bitcoin's price and its fair-value parity is at its widest level on record. Miller argues that a year's worth of borrowing in the U.S., as measured by the size of the fiscal deficit, approaches the entire market value for bitcoin, which constitutes an important framework for him to evaluate its value.
Capital governance perspective: Bitcoin is a denominator, not an ordinary asset
Miller elaborated on his arguments for capital governance in the program. He emphasized that he does not view bitcoin as a traditional asset requiring pricing, but rather sees it as an exponential unit of capital measurement.
He also talked about the Fed's move to raise interest rates by 25 basis points, energy prices and their relationship with inflation, and how immigration policy, rule of law and process stability affect capital allocation.
Gold rush, AI turnaround and global mobility
For gold's recent relatively strong performance, Miller attributes it to a narrative lag that the market's perception of bitcoin has not kept pace with gold. He also analyzes AI trading sector rotations and global liquidity trends as funds flow from Japanese markets and US Treasury bonds.
The program also discusses whether U.S. companies can keep up with the pace of debt expansion, and why many funds have so far been unable to incorporate bitcoin into their holdings structures.
