Bitcoin can't even save $84,000, the difficulty indicator has turned on a warning light
What's Happening: Revenue slightly recovered, difficulty downward
Bitcoin experienced a rebound after the completion of difficulty upgrades on September 19, and unit revenues for crypto miner did recover to some extent. Calculated at $84,751 in BTC , this difficulty adjustment resulted in a theoretical gross price of approximately $40.31 per PH/s per day, about 2.65% higher than previous model baselines.
However, the estimated data for the next difficulty cycle indicates a decline of 2.48%. It should be noted that this estimate is based only on the 14.43% progression in the new range and belongs to early signals caused by block slowing down rather than evidence of crypto miner mass shutdown.
The two sets of data are not contradictory: the price rebound has allowed for some recovery in gross revenues per unit computing power , but early blocking rates indicate that the direction of the network's next difficulty adjustment is still uncertain.
Lower difficulty adjustments than expected in previous models
CryptoSlate's analysis on September 15 estimated that BTC would need to rise to about $82,877 in order to offset the impact of its difficulty adjustment forecast on September 19 for unit revenue computing power . This is a network-level modeling threshold, not an industry-wide production cost.
The magnitude of the actual adjustment was moderate compared to previous forecasts. Historical data on mempool 's difficulty showed a 4.1634% increase in difficulty from 127.451 trillion to 132.757 trillion at block height 967,680 as of September 19. As of press time, CryptoSlate's trading page shows that BTC reported $84,751, which is about 2.26% higher than the threshold for the previous model.
Compared to the September 15 model input: BTC is about 7.07% more expensive, with a 4.16% increase in actual difficulty and an approximately 2.79% improvement in price-to-difficulty ratios. Taking into account recent lower royalty levels, the theoretical gross of computing power was around 2.65% higher than its previous baseline.
It's called the indicator.
I don't know what to do.
The price is BTC .$84,751Above the model threshold.$82,877It's about 2.26 percent. The price is above the previous unit, computing power .
crypto mining difficulty 132.757 trillion, up 4.16% on September 19th. Increased competition for unit rewards.
The theoretical price is about$40.31/PH/s/day. That's about 2.65% higher than the previous model baseline.
144 blocks of sample fees, each 0.01422626 BTC , representing 0.45% of the total reward.
The computing power price estimate is based on the block subsidy of 3.125 BTC , observed average fees, frozen BTC prices and network-wide difficulty as a theoretical gross income benchmark rather than actual realized revenue or profit.
Within the calculation window, fees provide almost no additional buffer. Reward statistics for mempool show that blocks 967,828 to 967,971 generate a total of 2,04858206 BTC in fees on average 0.01422626 BTC , about 0.45% of all rewards for these 144 blocks 452 BTC .
This figure should not be interpreted as a long-term royalty pattern, it only shows that crypto miner 's revenues remain highly dependent on block subsidies and the price of coins during this sample period. At the same time, hash rate prices cannot tell which mining companies are profitable from different energy efficiency, power contracts, financing and manpower cost structures. The same level of network revenue can have a large impact on different operators.
The downward estimate is an early sign, not a conclusion.
The difficulty snapshot of mempool shows that only 14.43% of the new blocks are completed, with an average block time of 625.3 seconds (approximately 10 minutes and 25 seconds), leaving 1,725 blocks remaining. At this rate, the difficulty will be reduced by 2.48% before or after October 3.
Bitcoin Adjusts the difficulty once for every 2,016 blocks, so that the average block time goes back to about 10 minutes. Therefore, a biased block will naturally drag down the estimated value of an adjustment once.
However, the difficulty of forecasting does not equate to direct statistics on the number of active mining rig s. The blocks themselves are random and short-period samples may fluctuate wildly while the underlying computing power is not necessarily synchronously changing. Research by hashrate Index found that predictions based on block time constants were especially inaccurate in the early part of the interval. Technical analysis by Pieter Wuille as well as academic research into the distribution of Bitcoin block times also supported this judgment: the earliest point at which a block occurs was a very noisy signal from computing power .
mempool The one-month period of the computing power valuation sequence fluctuates roughly between 826.1 EH/s and 1.053 ZH / s, with a current value of about 937.5 EH / S. During the observation period, there was no sustained or apparent cliff in this sequence. These numbers are derived from block data inferences that do not exclude variations by individual operators, nor should they be confused with the latest single day observational values. It can only indicate that existing network data is insufficient to support large scale critical hypotheses for continuous collapse.
However, this early reading is still worth tracking: if the block bias continues as the sample expands, a downgrade in estimate reference value will be enhanced and lower difficulty of eventual landing also means less competition for each block reward ; if it accelerates, the prediction may shrink or even reverse before adjustment.
To see if the improvement is sustainable, look at three things: 1st and 2nd.
The subsequent tests consisted of three parts: coin price, fees and a gradually maturing sample of new ranges. Maintaining prices above the model threshold kept this round of rebounds from breaking; expanding fee contributions so that crypto miner could have a second source of income rather than relying almost entirely on subsidies and coins; lowering difficulty estimates to more robustly demonstrate network-wide effectiveness if it was able to traverse much larger ranges without being erased.
Even so, the network data still cannot explain the business reasons behind it. CryptoSlate has previously reported that several listed mining companies have invested heavily in AI infrastructure, but this industry shift does not account for the slow pace of outflows in this snapshot due to a lack of evidence at an operator level.
The most conclusive conclusion is limited: after the current rally, the currency's price increase was enough to cover the difficulties that have landed in theoretical calculations of the whole network. Gross income of crypto miner received a moderate respite . But weak fees and difficulty forecasts are not yet mature, it remains unknown whether this respite can be continued.
