Yuga Labs reminds users about certain Ethereum Request for Comments 721C and 1155C token contracts.
PANews reported on September 26 that Yuga Labs blockchain vice president Quit warned the community that holders of some NFT collections using the ERC721C or ERC1155C standards may temporarily be unable to claim assets through the NFT claim portal. The notice says certain NFT series are already affected, while Yuga Labs-controlled related collections are expected to complete repair tomorrow.
ERC721C and ERC1155C collections face claim blocks
The restriction is tied to NFT series that use ERC721C or ERC1155C. These standards are used for NFT assets that can be claimed through a portal, and the current issue may prevent holders from completing that claim flow. Quit said affected holders can enable “7702 delegate OTC” in the transfer validator settings, or add the designated Ethereum address and ApeChain address to the 7702 delegate address whitelist to lift the restriction.
Payment Processor theft claim site is live
Quit also said the asset claim website for the NFT theft incident involving a Payment Processor vulnerability has gone live. Affected users whose NFTs were successfully preserved can now claim them, but the notice says they must first revoke the relevant Payment Processor authorization.
Why the workaround matters for holders
For holders, the immediate issue is whether the claim portal can complete the asset transfer under the current validator settings. The workaround points to a delegate and whitelist change. Yuga Labs-controlled collections are expected to be fixed tomorrow, while other affected ERC721C and ERC1155C NFT series may require holders to follow the listed options until the repair is completed.
